Arrival and Departure

Change in usual arrangements

Please inform us of any changes to your child's collection and dismissal arrangements. When communicating these changes with your child's class teacher, kindly include the school office (enquiry@glenealy.edu.hk). This is especially crucial if the teacher is unavailable. If unexpected changes need to be made during the school day, please call the office on 2522 1919 instead of emailing to ensure that the school has received the message.

Arrival

The school day starts at 8:30 AM, with school staff on duty in the lower playground from 8:10 AM. We ask that students do not arrive earlier than 8:10 AM. If they do, they must be supervised by a guardian until the school staff open the school gates at 8:10 AM. Additionally, students arriving after 8:30 AM should register in the school office before going up to class.

Departure

To pick up your child from school, please arrive at the main gates closest to Old Peak Rd after 2:55 pm, when they will be opened. It's important not to arrive earlier as there is limited space to queue outside the gates. Once the gates are open, please wait in the designated area until the children are ready for dismissal at approximately 3pm from the covered area in the lower playground.

Walkers

Year 5 and 6 students who are registered as independent walkers on the Gateway system will be dismissed after all other classes have left. Their walkers' passes will be checked at either the car park or the Main Gate of the school as they leave. To avoid walking through the carpark outside the school the walkers passes are colour coordinated to identify which gate is closest to their home.

Buses

Students using the school buses will go directly to their buses through the gate in the covered car park. School bus information is available online here.
