What another fabulous morning of sport from our Glenealy biathletes! All their hard work this year on the track and in the pool paid off as they competed in the biggest competition of the season. Special mention to Daniel, who not only won the event, but did it in a new event record-breaking time.

Year 6 were lucky to receive a talk and presentation from one of our parents to make our current Sharing the Planet unit more hands-on and inspiring. Our expert focused her discussion on fully net-zero energy and zero-water buildings that she has co-created in her job as an architect. Some of these projects were constructed in one of the harshest environments on Earth - the desert. This proves that if sustainability can be achieved there, it can be achieved anywhere! Year 6 have engaged with case studies on Myanmar and Laos in order to understand energy poverty and how environments can become more sustainable. We are currently creating our own community which uses the Earth's natural resources in order to function. We will later decide how our city should be planned to increase the efficiency and sustainability of its power usage. Thank you once again to our parent expert who gave wonderful advice to our budding architects.

6S enjoyed an afternoon of fun and learning as they watched Inside Out 2 as their prize for raising the most money for the Readathon this year. They had fun learning how emotions such as joy, sadness, anger, fear, disgust and anxiety are managed in a variety of situations. We learned that if anxiety is around we need to place it in the massage chair and reflect on its behaviour. Thanks to the PTA for supporting the event and delivering pizza and juice boxes.
